When is Sunny Side Festival MALTA?

The festival weekend starts on Thursday, 14th May, until the evening of Monday, 18th May, 2026.
We have programmed over 40 acts from daytime, through the night to the early hours of the morning.

Where is Sunny Side Festival MALTA?

SSF is taking over different venues across the beautiful paradise that is Malta.

The venues include an outdoor club, a beach location, boat parties and other special venues to be announced shortly.

A lead booker can purchase up to 10 tickets.

TRAVEL

How do I get to the Sunny Side Festival MALTA?

Daily direct Flights to Luqa, Malta International Airport, are available from all major EU and UK airports.

Connecting flights options are available from most EU airports.

We recommend booking your flights sooner than later to secure the best prices.

Public Transport

MALTA PUBLIC TRANSPORT is the national bus operator responsible to operate all public transport services by bus on the Maltese islands.

Taxi Companies

Despite the small size of the island, there are several taxi companies in Malta offering you a wide range of choice for your occasional trips.

Bolt

It is the most widely used taxi application in Malta, and many Bolt drivers offer their services on the island. You can find a vehicle available close to you in just a few minutes, wherever you are, using their app.

White Cabs

This is the official taxi company in Malta. You will find ticket vendors at the airport to take you wherever you want, and also in Saint Julian’s (Paceville) and in Valletta. The difference with other companies lies in the prices (fixed price for a specific geographic area) and the booking process: You order your trip directly from the ticket office.

Uber

Uber is also available in Malta. You can find a vehicle available close to you in just a few minutes using their app. Prices of Taxi Companies For a private airport/Saint Julian’s trip, it costs between €16 and €20, depending on the firm. Shared journeys will be around €6 and €10.

What are the festival dates?

The main festival events start on Thursday 14th May 2026

The last main festival day is Monday 18th May 2026; the event will run into the afternoon of the 18th May.

What are the festival times?

There are festival events running from each afternoon until the early hours of the next day. Full details of the programme and times will be released in advance of the festival. Keep an eye out for emails and social updates, you can sign up at the bottom of this page!

Where can I find full set times?

Can I go in and out of the festival site every night?

Yes, with your wristband you can go to and from the festival site and into each venue as often as you’d like.

What happens if I lose my wristband?

Wristbands will only be issued once and broken/lost wristbands will not be replaced. Please look after them!

Where is the Box Office located and what are the opening hours?

This would depend on start and end times. All box offices are located at entry of venues

I am unable to make it to the festival, can I get a refund?

We can only offer refunds or exchanges if an event has been canceled or rescheduled.

Will food be available to buy at the festival?

Food stalls are available at all sites and also many restaurants surrounding the areas.

Can we bring our own food and drink into the venues?

No, bringing in own food and drinks onto sites is not permitted. There will be plenty of drink options and food is available too.

Would I be able to re-enter the festival if I leave?

Yes, you can as long as you have your wristband on.

What's included in my festival tickets?

Your festival ticket gets you into the open-air nighttime venue (UNO) every night 

The beach requires an extra ticket and will be released soon.

Can I sell my ticket?

Unfortunately, all tickets are non-transferable and we are unable to offer any refunds for tickets no longer needed.

Can I use tickets bought with my old/lost card?

Please bring your new card & official form of ID with you and a letter/bill that matches your account’s address and you will be able to exchange it for your festival wristband.

What age do I have to be?

Sunny Side Festival is an 18+ only event.

What do I need to bring to guarantee entry?

Please bring your ticket & the card you purchased the ticket with.

Am I able to display my ticket on my phone?

Showing your ticket on your phone is encouraged. Please ensure the ticket is downloaded on your phone ahead of the event.

I have not received my ticket - when will I receive it?

Please check your spam folder, updates & promotion folders. Please double check the email address you entered is correct. If you still have not received it please email info@sunnysideup.mt

What happens if my email changes and I have missed any important booking information?

If your email changes, you will need to contact info@sunnysideup.mt and they can change their email address for them so they don’t miss any important info.

FLIGHTS

Are flights included with my ticket?

No. Flights are not included with tickets or hotel packages, you’ll need to make your own way to Malta.

What are my flight options to Malta?

Malta has great connections, with all major European and UK airports flying directly into Malta daily. There are more indirect options for traveling via mainland Europe.

Which airport should I fly into?

Malta has one airport, Malta International.

How hot is it in Malta?

The average temperature on the island is 24 degrees in May, so it should be perfect weather! We still advise you to bring a jacket or jumper for the nighttime.

Where is the festival site?

We recommend staying in Bugibba/St Paul’s area as this is a good hub to be in with the parties in a few different locations. The island is very small and travel is incredibly easy so you will be easily able to get to and from each location. Full details to be announced very soon.

Are there cash machines on site?

There are cash machines across the island of Malta where you can withdraw Euros as well as bureaux de change in some hotels.

What currency do I need to bring?

The official Maltese currency is the Euro, which can be bought easily at the bank, the post office, or at the airport.

What is the best way to travel around Malta?

The best way to travel around Malt is by Uber / Bolt

COMMUNICATION

How much will it cost to use my phone?

The majority of network providers now offer calls, SMS and data roaming whilst visiting EU countries free of charge, this includes Malta. Be sure to double-check with your provider in terms of tariffs, especially when it comes to data. Take extra care of your usage and keep an eye on your allowances whilst on the island.
